Party Frock

Party Frock (1)

Evening all. It’s officially the start of the Summer Holidays! Mr 7 finished up on Friday but we had Miss 4’s preschool leavers service at our local Church today before the Holiday’s got properly underway. And to kick things off we are having a movie evening (watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) and off to Legoland tomorrow….I think I’m more excited than the Children.

Anyhoo, back to the point of my post is that one of my favourite shops Noor Design UK are having a design team call and although my style isn’t the most frou frou (for want of better words) I love the papers, embellishments, dies etc that they sell. and couldn’t resist trying out.

First up is a picture of my card and I’ve used an All Dressed Up image which can be found as a rubber stamp here:

Party Frock (4)

I love making Easel cards, but (and I know I always say it) they are a bit tricky to photo:

Party Frock (5)

The papers are by Craftwork Cards and were part of a previous Crafteezzee collection.

Party Frock (6)

Now Tracy has asked us a little about ourselves, something I find hard, but here goes…..I’m a stay at home Mum to Mr 7 and Miss 4, and as of September Miss 4 will be starting school so I will have a little more time for crafting (but shush don’t tell Hubby)! I’m not ashamed to say I’m addicted to crafting and barely a day goes by when I don’t craft or colour in or both.

As I said above I don’t think my style is quite as embellished/layered as Tracy’s lovely team, a style I admire but just can’t achieve , but I think I would be able to show the products in a different way.

Ooops quick edit….forgot to say what social media I’m on: Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Right that’s enough waffle and I’ll just leave you with the supplies.

Fun in the Sun

Phone Case (6)

Afternoon all. We had a busy day yesterday as it was Miss 4’s Preschool Sports Day and the Preschools 10th Birthday Celebrations. So I had a lazy evening watching Bridget Jones Baby. And after a little lie in and lazy lunch I’m about to get crafty, but first I thought I would share another sneaky peak.

There are new Cherry Green stamps that will be launching on Hochanda on 26th July and today I have another make to show you, this time a phone case:

Phone Case (4)

I stamped the image onto tissue paper and very carefully coloured it with Spectrum AquaBlend Pencils, using only the teeny tiniest amount of water to Blend the Colours.

I then very carefully stuck the coloured tissue paper into the phone case with a generous amount o Ranger Glossy Accents.

Mermaid Kisses (3)

I have nearly complete the little set of tags, I just have one more mermaid to go.

Mermaid Kisses (1)

I coloured the watery background with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens and although it doesn’t show in the photo it gives a nice shimmery effect.

By the Sea

Canvass Picture (1)

Morning all. I have a sneaky peak today of some new Cherry Green stamps that will be launching on Hochanda on 26th July at 10am.

I tried something a little out of my comfort zone on this make. I wanted to incorporate stamp into a picture:

Canvass Picture (3)

I found the old canvas picture in a charity shop for £1…bargain. So I painted over it with a mix of emulsion tester pots and acrylics to create the background. I then stamped in the little girl with Weathered Wood Distress Ink and painted her in flat block colours (painting over the details). Once dry I re-stamped the girl to add back the details, which I enhanced with ColourBlend pencils.

Canvass Picture (2)

Supplies:

  • Image: Frankie Water Edges by Cherry Green at Crafters Companion
  • Colouring Medium: Emulsion Testerpots, Gesso, Acrylic Paint and Spectrum Noir ColourBlend Pencils: Raspberry, Anemone, Copper, Pewter, White, Auburn, Daffodil, Clementine, Peach, Redcurrant and Pink Blush

Tick Tock

Clock (1)

Evening all. I have something a little different to show you today…..a clock! I have had a little play with some Crafters Companion Colorista goodies to make samples for a QVC Germany TV show that is airing on 25th July.

This pattern would have made a lovely card but I wanted to show it used in a different way.

I started with a Balsa wood circle and the first thing I did was to drill a hole for the clock mechanism. I then painted with crackle paint, before covering with a circle from the colouring page and adding glitter Thicker numbers (which I also coloured with the Colorista markers).

The pages from this book are wonderful and even have glitter on them!

Supplies:

  • Image: Colourista Floral Bouquet A4 PAd
  • Colouring Medium: Colorista Marker Pen Set 1-6: Sorbet, Pear Green, Pistachio, Pale Mint, Hot Pink, Magenta, Rose Blush and Forest Green
  • Card: Core’Dinations Card
  • Embellishments: Thickers Alpha Stickers and Clock Mechanism

Birthday Star

Christmas Star (8)

Afternoon all. It’s time for a new challenge over at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog. The theme is always Anything Goes but you have to use an All Dressed Up image.

I originally coloured this one with the aim of making a Christmas card in non traditional colours, but Mr 7 is in need of last minute Birthday card, so this little cutie is now a Birthday Star instead of a Christmas Star lol.

This is one of the images from the 3 Little Christmas Girls:

Christmas Star (2)

Singing Snowmen

Singing Snowmen (2)

Hello again. It’s time for a new challenge the Colour Crazy Girls and this week we are being sponsored this week by Pickled Potpourri.

I got to work with Heart Sings

Singing Snowmen (5)

I wanted a very soft look to this, so I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens and watercoloured the image. The result is very soft and shimmery.

Singing Snowmen (1)

And I couldn’t quite find the right colour of card to mat and layer onto, so I coloured a piece of Sheena’s Stamping Card with one of the sparkle pens!

Supplies:

  • Image: Heart Sings from Pickled Potpourri
  • Colouring Medium: Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens
  • Sentiment: From a Lili of the Valley Stamp Set
  • Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black inkpad
  • Embellishments: Doodling

  • Embellishments: Doodling, Paper Lace, Raffia, Crackle Accents and Pearls
