Easter Treat

Jodie with Easter Egg (1)

Me again! Just trying to play catch up now Smile

Today saw the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge  and it’s the Pinks turn to host the challenge and also my pick for the theme. I went with a nice easy theme of ‘Ribbon &/or Lace’.

Mr 7 and Miss 4 tend to get a lot of choccy eggs from relatives for Easter, so each year I make them a little gift bag and fill it with several non edible treats as well as a few little chocolate things.

This is Miss 4’s bag and I’ve used the super cute Jodie with Easter Egg:

Jodie with Easter Egg (4)

I decided that Jute trim looked better than the ribbon I was going to use, so I swapped it but luckily I still have some ribbon on the top of the tag.

Supplies:

  • Image: Jodie with Easter Egg from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: Spectrum Noir
  • Card: Kraft Card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • DP: Dovecraft Garden Party 6x6 Paper Pack
  • Dies & Punches: Spellbinders Plain Circle Dies, Whiff of Joy Doily Die and Border from MFT Blue Print 14 Dies
  • Sentiment: ‘Emily’ cut out on the Scan’n’Cut
  • Embellishments: Jute Trim, Ribbon, Pearl Trim, Chipboard Heart, Chipboard Heart Background, Cheesecloth, Doodling, Glossy Accents, Glitter Glue

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Rose Bunny Rabbit

Rose Bunny Rabbit (2)

A very early start for me as my little girl (15 months) has only just got her first tooth and is teething really badly. She has been awake on and off most of the night as I think most of the teeth are now coming through at the same time :-(

While I’m up (and have a few minutes peace) I wanted to share my creation for the latest challenge that started yesterday over at Jellypark Friends and our theme this time is:

Happy Easter

I’ve used an adorable image Rose Bunny Rabbit to make an Easter gift for my little girl. It only has a few little chocolate in it as she is bit young to have a big egg, but she does like a little treat….don’t we all?

Rose Bunny Rabbit (1)

The basic shape is a tent card but I haven’t sealed the top and I made a little cellophane bag for the inside. I have used eyelets and ribbon to tie it shut so that it can be used over and over as a little treat bag.

Supplies:

  • Image: Rose Bunny Rabbit from Jellypark
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: First Edition 6x6 ‘Spring Drop’ Paper pad
  • Card: DCWV Textured Card, Papermania Kraft card and Crafters Companion Classic Crest Solar White Car
  • Stamps: Alpha stamps and ‘Happy Easter’ Sentiment
  • Dies & Punches: EK Success Border Punch
  • Embellishments: Paper Flowers, Ribbon, Eyelets, Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen and Stickles Glitter Glue

Easter at Sarah Hurley

Back, but a little later than planned as Little One didn’t have an afternoon nap today, so by the time everything like tea, bath, Hubby coming home from work and our own tea was done, I have only just managed to grab five minutes peace now to write this post.  It will be a quick post and then I’m off to bed to catch up on some sleep. It’s a shame as I had a few ideas in my head that I wanted to make a start on but I'm just too tired.

Today is the start of a new challenge at Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog and this time the theme is:

EASTER

IMG_5823

My card base is made from a scrap of 12x12 Papermania Kraft card and my patterned papers are from Sarah’s Easter Digi Kit, as is the cute bunny which I have coloured with ProMarkers. I made some rolled flowers out of scraps of the blue gingham (just by cutting some small spirals by hand – no fancy dies for me), added a scrap of blue ribbon attached with tiny staples, a sentiment made on my Dymo label maker and lastly just a little bit of doodling with a red fineliner.

I based my card on the following sketch from A Gem of a Challenge  but rotated it 108 degrees so would like to enter my card to that challenge.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Don’t forgot to hop over to Sarah’s Challenge and see what the rest of the team have been up to and also for more details on the fabulous prize from our sponsor for this challenge…Joanna Sheen.

Thanks for stopping by.
