Final Challenge of 2012 at PCJ
Morning All. Hope you are well, I’m still suffering with a sinus infection but I’m hoping it will be well and truly gone before Christmas Day.
Enough waffle it’s time for our last challenge of 2012 at Paper Crafting Journey and this challenge will run for 3 weeks until 9th January (giving the DT a well earned rest). We’ve have been sponsored by Rick St Dennis and he very kindly gave each of the DT their choice of image to use. Here is my card…
I picked the wonderful Mrs Frosty which can be found here in Rick’s Etsy shop. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers.
The patterned papers are from a Kaisercraft Paper Pad that came free with a Magazine. I’ve also used some cream, red and kraft card for matting, a sentiment from a HobbyArts clear stamp set, a CC Designs Phlox flower die to make poinsettia flowers and some old letter stamps which I have stamped onto patterned paper and cut out by hand (that was a little time consuming… let’s hope Santa brings me the alphabet dies I put on my Christmas list!).
Please hop across to PCJ to see what the rest of the DT have created.
Thanks for stopping by

Mo’s Ragged Angel
As with nearly all my remaining Christmas cards I’ve kept things simple, the image (coloured with ProMarkers), some matting, a sentiment and a few die cuts. On this card the patterned paper is from a Kaisercraft magazine freebie, the other card is from my stash, the sentiment is from a HobbyArt Clear stamp set, the die cut stars are from Marianne Designs and the gems are from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Naming Day Present
Afternoon all. Just trying to catch up with blogging. I’ve been making things left right and centre but haven’t got round to blogging them yet.
We went to a Naming Day Party on Sunday for our Friends baby Girl and rather than go with a traditional type gift I though I would make a little personal handcrafted gift. So I created this door plaque for Baby’s room:
The base is an MDF Door Plaque from Kaisercraft that I picked up during my little holiday to Blackpool. I found it in a lovely craft shop I discovered in Fleetwood called Crafty Company (a lovely big shop with a fantastic stamp selection, I could have browsed for hours but the rest of my family had other ideas!) I also bought the wooden letters there as well.
I painted the base with purple and then cream acrylic paint and then sanded back to distress slightly. The letters were done the same way but with pink and cream paint. I’ve also used a little Dusty Concord Distress Ink around all the edges.
The top section was then covered with patterned papers that came free from a magazine (don’t know the make though). To this I’ve added an image called Sweet Heart Birgitta from All That Scraps (coloured with ProMarkers), flowers, pearls and metal corner from Wild Orchid Crafts, Viva Pearl Decor Pen and some mesh ribbon, satin ribbon and pearl strands from my stash.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
- All That Scraps Challenge – Anything but a Card
- Clear it Out – The Gift Challenge (my stash is the mesh ribbon, papers and pearl sprays)
