Scarecrow and Friends

Just a quick post from me to share the second to last of Augusts makes. Here is a tag shaped card made using Scarecrow and Friend from Crissy’s Digis:

I made a mistake I don’t often do any more when making cards and I coloured my image before picking any patterned papers. I really struggled finding anything to match so I went for plain coloured card and added some pattern of my own with embossing and stencilling.

The flowers are punched from a cork sheet and coloured with a ProMarker.

Hi All. Long time no blog! We had a holiday and then as well as all the washing/unpacking to get on with we have all been suffering from a tummy bug. Still feeling a bit ropey now, so I will keep this short and sweet.

I Smell Spring at Whimsy

Well this post is a lot later that planned, especially as I started typing it at 8:30am! Had a bit of a hectic day, so just grabbing a few minutes down time before I head to bed and thought I would finish this post.

I have a little bit of Whimsy Inspiratiion for you today and I’ve used one of April’s Digi Release I Smell Spring from Crissy's Digis…

Now the obvious route would have been to make a pink card but I wanted to try something a little different. I’ve had my eye on some baby clothes for Emily that has a navy and lemon colour scheme and it’s so pretty I thought it might look cute on a card as well.

The image has been coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers and the rest of the card is quite simple as the colours are quite striking.

Whatzup Dog!

Morning All. Hope everyone is looking forward to the Easter break, I know I am. Things have been a bit hectic round here since Christmas so it will be nice to have a few days rest with Family. We’re spending a couple of days with the In-Laws and then a couple of days with my parents, sounds busy but the Grandparents amuse the little ones for a bit so it gives me and Hubby a little peace and quiet :-)

I have a card to share today to share that I made a little while ago (it was the end of last year) using one of my favourite Whimsy Digi Stamps (one of many in fact). He’s called Whatzup Dog and he’s from the fabulous Crissy’s Digis…

I’ve used my ProMarkers to colour the image and teamed it up with card and papers from my stash. The paper was a magazine freebie but from so long ago I can’t remember which magazine or which make. The stars have been cut from paper and felt and are a Sizzix Framlits die set. The sentiment is from a Paula Pascual Personal Impressions set. And to finish some ribbon, glitter Alpha stickers, Card Candi and a button and twine.

Christmas at PCJ

 

Morning All. I’ve had a few days of bad luck, our boiler broke again and so did the car, but both are now fixed so hopefully I can get back into the festive spirit. 

Speaking of festive spirit it’s time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this time the challenge is:

Anything Christmas

I have used a gorgeous image available from Whimsy Stamps, it’s by Crissy’s Digis – Nativity Scene…

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and because the image is so adorable I have kept the rest of the card quite simple. I have used Kraft card from Bazzill and patterned papers from First Editions Village Christmas 6x6 paper pad. The ribbon was rescued from a box of chocolates several Christmas’ ago, the sentiment is from HobbyArt and the snowflakes are punches with some small flower gems added to the centres.

Whimsy December Digi Stamp Release - Day 3

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of our December Digital Stamp Release Showcase!

I have also used a couple of brads (which have been in my stash for years), some ribbon and a Tonic Studios Border Punch.
