Dew Drops

Hello (5)

Evening all. Over at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends FB Group this week we are being sponsored by the fabulous Make it Crafty and if you are a member of the group there is a fabulous discount to be had.

We were really lucky to get to play with a fabulous image and I’ve coloured up the digital image Hello Flower Arrangement:

Hello (9)

As an added challenge we have coloured some water drops on our images.

Hello (7)

But my practice drops were better as I foolishly printed my image a little on the small side so it didn’t give me enough room to get as much detail/shading as I would have liked.

Supplies:

Don’t forget to hop over to the Passionate Paper Creations and Friends FB Group for details of the discount.

Evening all. I’ve made another Christmas card…surprise surprise! That is all I have been making of late!! This one has been made for the challenges over at Make It Crafty where the CAS challenge is Frame It and the Make it Colourful challenge is Christmas Colours.

Here is the full card using the super cute Jinkles Elf:

Danni in a Rainbow Meadow

Danni in Rainbow Meadow (7)

Night All. It’s a late one for me as we were watching a movie. The 2nd Andrew Garfield Spiderman and as I love love love Superhero films I couldn’t possibly do any colouring or blogging at the same time (which is what I do when I’m watching some of Hubby’s more dubious film choices!!!

Anyhoo, back to the point of my post and Make It Crafty are having a design team call for the Make It Colourful team…..and for an addicted colourer like me I just had to give it a go.

The DT Call is on the FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/makeitcrafty/ and here is my card:

Danni in Rainbow Meadow (6)

I’ve merged the background image Rainbow Meadow and the main image Danni's Little Ducks to create a cute little scene. With the proportions I wanted to use the background wasn’t quite wide enough so I extended the hills and clouds out to the edges of the card when colouring.

Supplies:

  • Image: Danni's Little Ducks and Rainbow Meadow from Make It Crafty
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • Card: Blue and White Card and Copic X-Press IT Blending Card
  • Stamps: Double Saying Stamp Set from Paula Pascual/Personal Impressions
  • Ink: Archival Cobalt Inkpad
  • Dies & Punches: X-Cut Square Punch
  • Embellishments: Mini Staple

Best get my beauty sleep. Night All and thanks for stopping by

Wishful Asha

Wishful Asha (2)

Edited to add Copic colours now Mr Blogger is playing nicer (and I’ve found my list!)

Make it Crafty are having a Clean and Simple Design Team Call and I thought I would give it a try. I used the gorgeous Wishful Asha to make this card with a simple background.

Wishful Asha (1)

Have a few more pictures to add to show how the background was done but blogger is really playing me up today and I can’t get the pictures to load. It’s taken me about an hour to get this to post and I know I’m cutting it fine already! The pictures have now been added below.

I wanted a light background but not completely plain. I really wanted to use the pattern from a heart embossing folder but not have the raised texture. So here is how I achieved it.

  1. Place card inside embossing folder and rub with a heavy/sturdy object.DSC05309
  2. Open embossing folder (the pattern won’t show at this point). Sand all over to reveal the pattern.DSC05310
  3. Using a piece of Cut & Dry foam lightly rub with ink to highlight the pattern.DSC05311
  4. Finished result.Wishful Asha (1)

Supplies:

  • Colouring Medium: Copics
    • Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000 and R20
