Metallic Marvels

Afternoon all. The lovely Fiona Clayton is on Hochanda this afternoon with some new Spectrum Noir Metallic Marker colours.

One show was on at 12pm (which you can watch back on the Hochanda Website) and another show is on at 3pm/

I thought I would start by sharing this vellum aperture card as I got a name check on the 12pm show for this one as it shows the wonderful markers on vellum:

The markers are such lovely colours and a dream to use on vellum and give the prettiest soft metallic sheen.

The image was stamped once using a stamp positioner, coloured direct with the markers and then re-stamped and heat embossed in black to give a really neat precise finish to the lines.

40 Years Young

Broomstick

Morning all.  I have some good news and some bad news, so I’ll start by getting the bad news out of the way. Janet is closing the Pink Gem Designs Shop! This is really sad news, I have loved the images for many many years and have been lucky enough to be on the DT for the past 5 1/2 years, but the really great news is you will still be able to get Janet’s images through her Etsy shop Pink Gem Designs.

Pumpkin Picking

Hello all and happy Friday! It’s time for a brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and even though it’s Anything Goes the team are showing some Matching Set creations.

For my my matching set I have used the same digi stamp Winnie Wednesday Pumpkin, but for my tag I have enlarged and cropped it to use just the pumpkins, and have coloured it with alcohol markers.

I have also used digi papers from the following sets Halloween Trick or Treat Papers 1, Halloween Trick or Treat Papers 2 and Halloween Trick or Treat Papers 3 and the die sets Bubbleicious Frames and Fanciful Circle.

Christmas Penguin

Hello all and happy Friday! It’s time for a brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and even though it’s Anything Goes the team are showing some creations using the theme Frame It.

I've made a Christmas card using papers from the Festive Christmas Download and a Penguin image from Winnie White Christmas:

I have used dies from Fanciful Circles Nested Dies and Stitched and Pierced Nested Circle Dies  to die cut my frame and popped it up on foam pads.

Foxer Upper

Evening all! It’s the first Tuesday of the month and that means one thing…… Tiddly Tuesday! So over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog we want to see any Tiddly makes with the theme ‘Boys Boys Boys’!

I used the girl version of Foxer Upper  quite a while back and I thought it was about time I coloured up the little boy version….BTW you get both versions as part of the download!

Mr 8’s favourite colour is green so I used that as inspiration for this card.

Morning all. We just got back yesterday from a lovely week away in Ironbridge and I’m up and attacking the laundry pile at the moment.

This weeks new challenge at A Gem of a Challenge  is  ‘Wedding Anniversary/ Wedding Day/Engagement’ and it’s perfect timing as Hubby and I celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary while we were away.
