Happy New Year….almost!

DSC07641

Happy Friday….I’m back again! And this time it’s for the brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog. Even though it’s Anything Goes the team are showing creations based on the theme of Something New.

Well the something new for my project could be a couple of different things. First off I’ve made a desk calendar for the New Year.

DSC07640

And I’ve used the new paper pads, stamps and dies that were shown on Create & Craft a few weeks back and are available to pre-order now in the Polkadoodles store - New - Added in December.

I printed the little calendar tabs myself, I haven’t been to any shops to buy any!

Frosty the Snowman

Festive Snowman (3)

Morning all and happy Friday! It’s nearly time for a brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog, but as you know I’m playing catch up. So before I get to that post I had better share my make from last weeks midway inspiration post.

As always it’s an Anything Goes Challenge, but the team are showing you some Traditional Christmas makes.

For my make today I’ve used the fabulous Festive Christmas Download Collection:

Festive Snowman (4)

I needed a handful of last minute, so very quick to make, and easy to post Christmas Cards. So for this one I layered the papers before printing, used a heart digi embellishment, a sentiment and the pre-coloured snowman. Minimal cutting and sticking was needed, saving me time on a small batch of cards.

Festive Snowman (1)

To add a little depth to the card, I popped on some sparkle to the snowman's hat and scarf and some doodling to highlight the faux paper layers.

Supplies:

  • Digital Elements:Festive Christmas Download Collection printed on White Textured Cardstock
  • Card: Coconut Crush Card from Limetree Crafts
  • Embellishments: Doodling and Clear Wink of Stella

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon with details of our new challenge.

Revolting Kiss

Old Bag (4)

Evening all! I think the antibiotics are starting to kick in as I’m feeling a little better so I thought I would pop on a quick post while I’ve got my feet up watching the X-Factor final.

At the beginning of the week it was the fabulous Rhea’s (of Passionate Paper Creations and Passionate Paper Creations and Friends FB Group) 50th Birthday and as the wonderful Nikky of Polkadoodles drew some images for the occasion us Polkadoodles girlies got to join in the celebrations.

The are 6 new images in the Funny Old Bag Collection and I’ve used the fabulous Revolting Kiss. She reminds me so much of the trashy sister in the Keeping Up Appearances sitcom, that I coloured her up to match.

Old Bag (3)

The sentiment was typed on word, and I think it goes well with the image.

Old Bag (1)

And those fabulous glasses were crying out for plenty of Glossy Accents.

Christmas Season

Christmas Season (3)

Morning All! I feel a bit like a mad headless chicken at the moment, it’s a busy busy week and I’m still getting over this nasty virus.

We had a nativity with Miss 3 yesterday, one with Mr 6 today, all the usual run up to Christmas things and we are having our bedroom refitted! The upstairs of the house is a mess, with boxes and stuff everywhere and us and the kids crammed into two rooms instead of three. It’ll be worth it though when the bedroom looks all pretty Smile

Anyhoo, it’s time for another challenge over at the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Blog. This time we have a fabulous theme of   ‘Anything Goes’!

Here is my card using the sweet Christmas Seasons:

Christmas Season (2)

Frosty Penguins

Frosty Penguins (4)

Hello all and happy Friday! It’s time for a brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and even though it’s Anything Goes the team are showing Blue creations.

I've gone clean and simple for my card today. I have layered the Frosty Penguins image and sentiment directly over a backing paper from the Frosted Winter Octavia Digital Download and printed onto my alcohol marker card.

Frosty Penguins (3)

I have coloured the image and then added shading around the image for a little depth.

Frosty Penguins (1)

And just a tough of gesso round the feet to look like snow.
