Lemon Butterflies

Morning All. It’s my turn on the Sarah Hurley 365 blog and I have been having a play with April’s A Few of My Favourite Things Kit.

I was almost dreading cutting into the papers as they are so pretty, but lemon, grey and black are one of my, many, favourite colour combinations so that made it a little bit easier.  Here is my card…

For more details on the card and the products used please visit my post on the Sarah Hurley 365 blog.

Lia Stampz Flower Girl (5)

Anyhoo, it’s my turn to share over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge  today and here is a card I made using Flower Girl from the Vintage Girls Collection by Lia Stampz

Red and Kraft

Good Morning everyone. Following our little trip I’ve got a fun morning of laundry and packing clothes away ahead of me. I’m going to sneak in a little crafty play this afternoon though, despite taking my pens away with me I missed my little crafty room.

It’s time for a new challenge at A Gem of a Challenge and this time the lovely Donna has picked the theme of:

Favourite Colour Combo

I’ve used one of Janet’s older images Love Hoot

And although I think it’s really a Valentines image I think it was perfect for my Hubby’s birthday card. He doesn’t like fussy cards so I have kept the design really simple. I kind of like the off the edge circle….but it was a happy accident. I printed the digi too large on a small piece of card and didn’t have room to cut out a full circle around him!

Supplies:

  • Image: Love Hoot from Pink Gem Designs
  • Sentiment: Computer Generated
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: My Minds Eye ‘Nostalgia’ 6x6 paper pad
  • Card: Woodware Ribbed Kraft and Neenah Solar White Card
  • Dies & Punches: Go Kreate Circle Dies, MS Zig-Zag border punch and an X-Cut Square Punch
  • Embellishments: Raffia and Viva Decor Black Pearl Pen

Father and Kids

Morning All. As you read this we will packing up ready to head home from our little trip, but we have booked quite a late ferry back to Southampton so we can still make the most of our last day here.

It’s time for a new challenge at Jellypark and this time our theme is a super simple…

Use a Jellypark Image

Now the not so simple bit will be deciding which of Claire’s fantastic Jellypark images to choose. I’ve used Father and Kids and the best thing about this image is that all of the proceeds go to the charity Willow. To read more about this click here. Here is my card…

I was a bit last minute making this card for my little ones to give their dad on his birthday, so a quick CAS card. That’s why I love Jellypark images. Claire draws them so beautifully that it doesnn’t matter whether you spend a couple of hours colouring them or a couple of minutes. Mine was the latter this time so please don’t look to closely ;-)

Garden Love

Garden Love (5)

Hello All. Halfway through the week again and as you read this we should be enjoying ourselves on the Isle of Wight with hopefully some sunny weather!

It’s time for May’s challenge over at Whimsy Stamps and this month our theme is:

2 or More Die Cuts

Here is my card using just one of the sweet images from Moon Cookie Gallery’s Garden Love set:

Garden Love (2)

I’ve used a total of 4 dies on my card (2 butterflies, one border and a fancy rectangle) and I’ve gone for a CAS style again. I have been loving this kind of card recently, probably because less embellishment means less time faffing over where to put said embellishment!!

Anything Goes at Sarah Hurley 365

As you read this I should be enjoying a nice little holiday in the Isle of Wight with the Hubby and children :-) and I’m hoping we are enjoying a little bit of Sunshine instead of all this rain we’ve been having.

Anyhoo it’s time for May’s challenge at Sarah Hurley 365 and this month it’s the nice easy theme of Anything Goes.

I thought the Feather stamp from one of Sarah’s A Few of My favourite things kits was perfect for a thinking of you/sympathy card. I have teamed it with some soft coloured papers and some simple embellishments.

Supplies:

  • A Few of My Favourite Things Kit from Sarah Hurley
  • Stamps: Sentiments Stamps
  • Inks: Brilliance ‘Coffee Bean’ and Walnut Stain Distress Ink
  • Extras: White Acrylic Paint
  • Embellishments: Doodling and UTEE Embellishments
