Toot Toot

IMG_7419

It’s my turn to share over on the Digi Bells Blog today, but I almost didn’t make it. Emily is teething, has a cold and has started pulling herself to standing against the furniture….shame she hasn’t learnt how to get back down!!

Here is a cute little boys Birthday card I have made a card with the adorable Toot Toot

IMG_7420

The DP I have used is actually from a Christmas pad but I thought it matched perfectly with the image…

Very CAS compared to some of my recent makes.

For A Boy at PCJ

Frankie Knuckles (7)

Evening All. Had a busy day today as I started a new baby group with baby Emily and lot’s of boring chores to get done. So while tea is cooking I thought I would pop on and blog my card for the new challenge over at Paper Crafting Journey. Our theme this fortnight is…

For a Boy

Masculine cards can be a little tricky, but I’ve used the fantastic Frankie Knuckles from Kenny K to make a Birthday Card for my Niece’s Boyfriend. And I’m pleased with it (despite it’s lack of all thinks pretty, pink and sparkly!)…

Frankie Knuckles (2)

I’ve coloured the image with my ProMarkers and as it’s a masculine card I’ve laid off the embellishments and just used a few stars to decorate…

Frankie Knuckles (5)

The small wooden letters have been coloured to match with a ProMarker and I used a square punch to add the notches on the corner of the image.

Supplies:

  • Image: Frankie Knuckles from Kenny K
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: MME ‘On the Bright Side –One’ 6x6 paper pad
  • Card: Joanna Sheen Elegance Ice White 300gsm and black, red and grey card from stash
  • Dies & Punches: All Occasion Word Dies ‘Happy’ and ‘Birthday’, Sizzix Star Framelits and an X-Cut 1” Square Punch
  • Embellishments: Stickles ‘Gunmetal’ and ‘Black’, Studio Calico Wood Letters and gems

Shape It Up at EB World Challenge

Curly Locks Kiki (2)

It’s time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell’s World Challenge and the theme this month is…

Shape It Up

So we want see cards other than squares or rectangles. I’ve made an Octagon Card by first making a square card from a sheet of blue 12x12 card and then chopping all four corners off.

Curly Locks Kiki (4)

My image is the adorable Curly Locks Kiki from Elisabeth Bell and has been coloured with my ProMarkers

Curly Locks Kiki (1)

I tried cutting the roses from tissue paper, they look quite effective now they’re done but they sure were fiddly to roll up.

Supplies:

  • Image: Curly Locks Kiki by Elisabeth Bell
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: Kanban
  • Card: Joanna Sheen Elegance Ice White 300gsm and American Crafts Textured Card
  • Stamps: Personal Impressions Think Big Stamp set
  • Ink: Brilliance ‘Graphite Black’  Inkpad and Distress Ink ‘Weathered Wood’
  • Dies & Punches: X-Cut Leaf Punch, MFT Die-namics Royal Rose Die and Go-Kreate Frilly Frames die
  • Embellishments: Seed Beads, Paper Border, Ribbon, Flat Back Pearl and Tissue Paper (Recycled from The Ribbon Girls lovely packaging!)

Autumn Delight

KKD Autumn Delight (4)

Today is my day to share over on the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge. This little cutie is Autumn Delight and is one of the newest digis from StampArt by Kathryne available at Whimsy Stamps

KKD Autumn Delight (5)

My flowers are handmade using Kraft card and a hessian type material. One is simply a strip of card snipped, rolled and flattened and the other is a strip of material folded, snipped, rolled and squished (works well with felt as well). I think you can get fancy dies to pre-cut the shapes for you but I think this method works well for me.

KKD Autumn Delight (1)

This post is a bit picture heavy but this isn’t a standard square card and I wanted to show it…

KKD Autumn Delight (2)

Supplies:

  • Image: Autumn Delight from Whimsy Stamps
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: Fancy Pants ‘Summers End’ 6x6 paper pad
  • Card: Joanna Sheen Elegance Ice White 300gsm, Copper Mirri Card and brown card
  • Dies & Punches: Tonic Doily Edge Border punch, X-Cut corner rounder and Woodware Tag punch
  • Embellishments: Handmade Flowers, gems, flat backed pearl, ribbon bow, skeleton leaves, Stickles, sentiment peel off and Viva Decor Pearl Pen

Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth (1)

Evening All. hope you have all had a good weekend. I ahve been catching up on some house work today. Boring I know for a Sunday but it has been hard to do with a teething 7 month old and trying to decorate a bathroom.

It’s my turn to share over on the Digi Bells Blog today and I have made a card with the adorable Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth (4)

As soon as I got this image I knew I wanted to go with a pretty theme so I’ve used pink, green and Kraft as my colour scheme…

Sweet Tooth (5)

And I had to add some Glossy Accents!

Chloe and Andy

Chloe and Andy with Snowman (3)

Happy Saturday! I hope the weather is a bit brighter in your part of the world, it’s very dull and grey here this morning. I’ve got some cooking simmering in the kitchen (Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce), so the kids and I are taking a break and catching up on some of last weeks X-Factor :-)

It’s time for a new challenge at A Gem of a Challenge and it’s my turn to set the theme and I’ve chosen…

Use 2 Images

With a bit of jiggery pokery on the computer I’ve flipped Andy with Snowman and placed in behind Chloe with Snowman to make this cute little scene…

Chloe and Andy with Snowman (2)

I wanted to focus on the fabulous images so I have kept the rest of the card clean and simple with just a couple of snowflakes and a bow in the corner. I’ve also used some of the fabulous new American Crafts textured card I picked up in TK Maxx yesterday (a real bargain as it was half price)…

alby release badge 400

This month we are releasing FOUR digital stamps illustrated by Alberto Gava for Whimsy Stamps

To celebrate Alberto’s debut release we are holding a fabulous BLOG HOP to showcase creations made with these fantastic new digital stamps.

The hop starts today (Wednesday September 11th at 8am EST) and ends on Sunday September 15th at 12pm EST).

For this hop we have TWO GRAND PRIZE DRAWS and two lucky hoppers will each WIN the entire new release of ALL FOUR DIGITAL STAMPS. That's not all ... we've also hidden NINE single digital stamp prizes throughout the hop and I’m one of the prize stops!

To be added to the draw to win one of the new Alberto Gava digital stamps (winner’s choice!), please leave a comment on this post! We will draw the winners shortly after the hop ends, and a full list of winners will be posted on the Whimsy blog on Monday 16th September.

Here is my card using Queen of Hearts…

AG Queen of Hearts (3)

When I first saw this digi it made me think of Wedding Photographs where the whole picture is either Black & White or Sepia with just little details coloured in. In fact I think Hubby and I have one in our Wedding Album of us drinking Champers and the only coloured things in the photo were little strawberries balanced very delicately on the side of the Champagne glasses! So that’s the theme I went with for this card…

Chloe in Knitted Hat

Chloe in Knitted Hat (8)

Morning All. I hope everyone had a good weekend. We spent it looking at used cars, as now we have two children I need something bigger than my little old Clio. It’s been hard work as I didn’t really have a clue what I fancied, but after test driving a few I think I have narrowed it down. I just need to find one for the right price now (and more importantly the right colour lol!).

Enough of my waffle…today I’m sharing a card over on the Gems of Inspiration blog and here is the gorgeous Chloe in Knitted Hat

Chloe in Knitted Hat (7)

I’ve coloured Chloe with ProMarkers and teamed her with some gorgeous patterned paper from the First Edition ‘Desert Blooms’ 6x6 paper pad.

Chloe in Knitted Hat (3)

Easel cards are nice but they are really difficult to photograph (I’m cringing at the sight of the foam pads showing under the rosette).

Pati’s Kisses

Pati's Kisses (6)

Happy Thursday morning everyone. My little boy Elliot has his second morning at pre-school today and although I miss him it’s nice just having me and baby Emily in the house for a few hours.

I was just having a quick Cuppa before heading back out to pick him him, so I thought I would pop on and post a card I made using the adorable Pati’s Kisses by Elisabeth Bell.

Pati's Kisses (3)

I have had these free Teresa Collins for ages, so decided to colour up the image to match. The patterned paper that is underneath has orange and purple on it although I think I have managed to cover most of it up and my dodgy photography skills have made the image and flowers look a lot brighter than they do IRL!

Pati's Kisses (1)

Supplies:

  • Image: Pati’s Kisses by Elisabeth Bell
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: Teresa Collins Magazine freebie
  • Card: Joanna Sheen Elegance Ice White 300gsm and Core’dinations card
  • Ink: Walnut Stain Distress Inkpad
  • Dies & Punches: Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Doily Squares and a Woodware corrner punch
  • Embellishments: Paper flowers, pearl stems, pearls, Viva Decor Pearl Pen, Teresa Collins Chipbaord Shapes (magazine freebie), ribon and large pearl.
