CASE A DT Member at PCJ

Letter to Santa Close Up (1)

Morning All. At last we have a little bit of sunshine here on the South Coast but it sure is chilly, especially with the Double Glazers here taking out and putting in new windows!

It’s time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this time the challenge is to:

CASE One of the DT Members’ Cards

Please choose me…..only kidding!  I have used a gorgeous image, that was kindly given to us by our sponsor Elisabeth Bell, called Letters to Santa.

Letter to Santa Christmas Card (1)

I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers and used some Liquid Pearls and stickles to highlight. The patterned papers were a freebie with a magazine and are by Hot Off the Press. I’ve also used some Papermania Vellum, Bazzill Kraft card and Matte Gold card. All edges have been distressed using Walnut Stain DI and a Tonic Studios/Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and the two patterned and Kraft papers have been edged using a Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch.

Letter to Santa Christmas Card (3)

The corner stamps are from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment is from a HobbyArt clear stamp set, stamped in Onyx Black Brilliance Ink. The ribbon, wooden snowflake, button and metallic thread are all from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Wrapped Up Warm

Please scroll down to the next post for my Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Midway Inspiration post.

Winter Chloe Christmas Card Closeup

Morning All. Bit chilly here. We have the Double Glazers in replacing all our windows, so every now and again I get a big draught of air to keep me chilly. They have already replaced my craft room window and as Little One is staying at Nanny and Grandads I have retreated to my little cubbyhole to keep warm (and craft!!).

I have been making some Christmas cards again and this little cutie uses the adorable Winter Chloe from Pink Gem Designs. I’ve made quite a few traditional coloured cards lately so with this one I wanted a completely different colour scheme….

Winter Chloe Christmas Card (2)

I have coloured the image with ProMarkers and added some tiny Papermania Glitter Gel Dots to accent the snowflakes on her outfit.  The patterned paper is from the First Edition Stocking Fillers 6x6 pad, the Christmas Tree is a Marriane Designs Die and the sentiment is from a Clear HobbyArt set. All other bits and bobs (card, ribbon, lace, pearls) are from my stash.

Whimsy Challenge Midway Inspiration

Flakey Friends Christmas Card Close Up

Morning everyone, I’m here to remind you that you still have time to enter the current challenge at Whimsy Inspirations Challenge.  The theme this time is:

Traditional Christmas

I’ve used another gorgeous Snowman called Flakey Friends from StampArt Design by Kathryne:

Flakey Friends Christmas Card (2)

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and a touch of Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The patterned paper is from the DCWV 6x6 Christmas Multistack and the plain green and red card are from my stash. The sentiment is a HobbyArt clear stamp. The snowflake and border punch are both from Martha Stewart and although it doesn’t show to well in the picture I’ve added some tiny Papermania gems to the centres of the snowflakes.

Anything Goes at PCJ

Morning All, I'm not feeling all that perky this morning so I will keep it short and sweet. It's time for a brand new challenge over Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight the theme is:

Anything Goes

For this fortnightly challenge, we are sponsored by Pink Cat Studios. They have such a lot of cute images.

I coloured up a lovely image called Lily Sugar Plum Fairy, but unfortunately I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather and haven’t had chance to make her into a card yet. I’m going to finish the card off for next week to share in PCJ’s midway reminder.

In the meantime pop over to PCJ and see what the rest of the DT have made for your inspiration.

Traditional Christmas at Whimsy

Lia Stampz Christmas Tree Card (2)

Morning everyone, I’m here to share my first challenge card as part of the Whimsy Digital Design Team. The theme for this month is

Traditional Christmas

I’ve used one of the gorgeous new releases for November, Christmas Tree by Lia Stampz:

Lia Stampz Christmas Tree Card (2)

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and plenty of Stickles. The rest of the card is quite CAS as the baby bump has been giving me terrible heartburn and as much as I wanted too I couldn't sit at my craft desk any longer. The patterned papers are from the First Edition Christmas Vintage 6x6 paper pad, he Mirri card, ribbon and poinsettia are all from my stash and the sentiment is a HobbyArt clear Stamp.

Please hop across to Whimsy Inspirations Challenge to see what the other designers have created (also have a peak at the prize and enter while you are there!!).

Fireworks at Sarah Hurley

Fireworks Birthday Card (2)

Evening All. I’ve a busy few days including a bit more Morning Sickness (yucky)midwife appointments, blood tests and other errands so I’m here (at last) to tell you about the new challenge that started yesterday over at Sarah Hurley Challenge.

Our theme this month has been chosen by my team mate Nat and she has picked a theme of:

Fireworks and Bright Colours

I’m not sure why but Mr Mojo seemed to desert me on this one and I was really stumped as to what to create. In the end I settled on this (but I’m not that happy with it!).

Fireworks Birthday Card (5)

 Fireworks Birthday Card (7)

My inspiration was that when Firework Rockets explode in the sky they look like hundreds and hundreds of tiny stars. I’ve used papers from Sarah’s Craft Basics – Bright Collection, a set of Sizzix Framlits Star Dies, a silver pen, lot’s of Stickles Glitter Glue and a computer generated sentiment to create these CAS cards.

While I’m here I must also remind you about submissions for the Sarah Hurley Lookbook Volume 2. You can see all the details here.
