Less is More - Green

Just a very quick post as it’s my my bedtime.  I’ve been trying to sort some things out and I would rather go to bed with them done so I can rest properly that go to bed knowing they have to be done tomorrow.

Anyhow I have made a card for this weeks LIM Challenge but I fear I’m going to be on the naughty step as my card has some red on it……ok hands up A LOT of red on it. It’s just that I wanted to try out a technique I read about on someone’s blog ages ago (sorry can’t remembers who’s blog) and also wanted to use a neglected Poinsettia stamp that’s been gathering dust in my stash and well they are red…lol.

The background script stamp was inked with various shades of waterbased green ink and then spritzed with a mix of Perfect Pearls and water before stamping onto smooth white card, this way you get a nice soft background. Next I stamped the Poinsettia stamp from top to bottom across one side of the card and coloured with ProMarkers. A little bit of yellow glitter for the centres, a matt of green card and sentiment and that’s another last minute Christmas card to cross off my list.

Thanks for another great challenge Chrissie and Mandy and I’m sorry in advance if my card has to much red.

Lisa

Items: White A5 card blank, green card from stash, Ryman's Smooth White Card, Prima Marketing Script Stamp, Poinsettia Stamp from Little Claire, Various Green Inks, Letraset ProMarkers, Versafine Onyx Black, Pink Gem Sentiment, Ranger Stickles

Beautiful card Lisa! I love that poinsettia stamp - can you tell me which stamp that is? I hope you don't get in trouble :)

Well we'll let you off the naughty step if you've done your penance!
It does look kinda red... but it's a great design and a lovely card.
Thanks so much
Chrissie

That is so beautiful - not heard of that technique so it will have to go on the 'try it after Xmas' list - it is such a long list now! Karen x
