Flamingo Thank You

Morning all. Sorry I have not been the greatest blogger over the last couple of months. My health hasn’t been to great and after trudging on with day to day life blogging has been one of the things to take a back seat and to be honest apart from some colouring in I haven’t really felt like doing a whole lot of crafting either. Plus I have been feeling so cold lately that a little colouring in is the easiest thing to do when sat huddled on the sofa under jumpers and blankets (and a hot water bottle too)…think I need a holiday in the sun.

Anyhoo, enough waffle, it’s my turn over on the Sarah Hurley 365 blog today and I’m sharing a thank you card.

Here is a sneak peak

Penguin Joy

Penguin Joy (4)

Afternoon all. I’ve been on a Christmas Card making run and I remembered I hadn’t inked up one of my favourite Christmas Stamps, Penguin Joy by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. Usually I am fond of non-traditional Christmas colours but this year I can’t seem to get enough red and green plus it goes very nicely with my current addiction to Kraft card.

 Penguin Joy (2)

Quite a lot of my Christmas cards for mailing are very CAS with no embellishments as they need to be easy to post. This one however is going to be hand delivered so I could go overboard with the embellishments. I’ve used some spider webbing, a charm, several die cuts, some roses and a poinsettia.

I do love Whimsy Stamps and Dies, the quality is fabulous so while I’m posting I thought I would throw my hat into the ring for the DT call they are currently holding, if you want to have a try hurry and look at the details here as the call ends at Midnight ET tonight (that’s 5am for any of us night owl UK ladies!!).

Supplies:

  • Image: Penguin Joy Rubber Stamp by Whimsy Stamps
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers and Copics
  • DP: Little Darlings Christmas Papers (free with Papercraft Essentials 98)
  • Card: Copic Xpress It Blending Card and Kraft Card
  • Dies & Punches: Spellbinders Radiant Rectangle Dies, Lace Border Doily 1 die and Holly and Berries die
  • Embellishments: Spider Web, Card Candi, BEll Charm, Paper Roses, Paper Poinsettia and Glitter Glue

Reindeer Jodie

Afternoon All. The lovely Janet from Pink Gem Designs is sponsering the new challenge at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge and a few of us Pink Gem Girlies have made some lovely cards as Guest Designers. The theme for the challenge is ‘Winter’ and for me that meant another Christmas Card. This one is for my little girl and uses Reindeer Jodie

I am still addicted to Kraft and I’m loving using it with some traditional green and red. The papers are some new ones I picked up a couple of weeks ago and are Craft Christmas from Papermania.

Supplies:

  • Image: Reindeer Jodie from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: Craft Christmas from Papermania
  • Card & Paper: Paperchase Ribbed Kraft Paper and green card
  • Stamps: Relative Stamp Set (Make unknown but maybe Personal Impressions)
  • Dies & Punches: Spellbinder labels 31 and Whimsy Lacy Border die and Holly Leaf die
  • Embellishments: Flat backed pearls, ribbon, wooden star, small white luggage tag and glitter glue.

Snowmen

KKD Snow Topper (1)

Afternoon all. I’m getting back to my crafting slowly and here is my card for the new Whimsy Challenge where the theme is use two images. I have used two images from the Snow Topper set by StampArt by Kathryne (the images can be purchased separately as well).

When I made this card I was inspired by the current challenge at Less is More which is Non-Traditional Christmas Colours. I decided on the turquoise base but when I was colouring I got a bit carried away and used red on the boots….well turquoise and red is one of my favourite winter colour schemes. So I apologise if this doesn’t fit the theme this week.

Supplies:

  • Image: Snow Topper from Whimsy Stamps
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers and Copics
  • Card: Copic Xpress It Blending Card and red and turquoise card
  • Sentiment: Whiff of Joy Winter Secret Stamp Kit

Halloween

Morning All. What with my lack of crafting and blogging and Mr Blogger not publishing the post I did do, I’m not doing very well at the moment! But better late than never I’m here with my Halloween make for the current challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge where the theme is ‘Trick or Treat’

I like to decorate the window of the house on Halloween so that other Trick or Treaters know we are are friendly and don’t mind having them knock on our door. So I made this little plaque to hang in the window using the gorgeous Broomstick Chloe and lot’s of traditional Halloween colours.

Supplies:

  • Image: Broomstick Chloe from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers and Copics
  • DP: DCWV Latte Paperstack
  • Card: Copic X-Press it Blending Card and Black card from stash
  • Stamps: Sentiments from the Whiff of Joy Fall Stamp Kit
  • Dies & Punches: Fiskars Border Punch and Spellbinder Plain Circle Dies
  • Embellishments: Flat back Pearls, Paper Flowers, Button, Ribbon, Twine and doodles with a black fineliner.
