Sail Away

Happy Thursday everyone. Hope you are all enjoying nice weather where you are…it’s been really nice here, sunny but not to warm and the children love being out in the garden, especially watching our strawberries grow and ripen.

Enough waffle. It’s my turn to post over at the Whiff of Joy Blog and today’s theme is:

I was inspired by the nautical theme of the Summer Stamp Kit to create a card that looked like a Porthole…I think it worked as Hubby recognised what it was!! Here is my card but for more details and peak at a little extra I made with the scraps please head over to the Whiff of Joy blog

I was proud of myself on this one as I cracked open the Watercolour paints. I haven’t used them for years and apart from using some watercolour pencils a while back I haven’t painted a whole image before…not bad for a first attempt.

World of Imagination Launch

We are celebrating the launch of the new 'World of Imagination' range on the 10th, this is a range Sarah has been working on for over a year and we are now super pleased to be sharing it with the world with this initial launch. Each of the Design Team will be sharing the reveal of a new product on their blog and at the end there will be the opportunity to win one of these!

My product to share is Hair Accessory Sets - from the pocket money dress up range. These cute sets come packaged up in organza bags, perfect for party bags, stocking fillers or just every day!

Now all you need to do is hop through all of the team leaving a comment to let us know what you think of the products and then at the last stop (on the 365 blog) leave us a comment telling us what you think of then range and which item you would like to win - we'll pick one winner to win their choice of item. This closes on the 15th at midnight GMT.

Your next stop on the hop is Sharon

The Mayor of Make Believe will be waiting for you at the 365 blog to see what you thought of the range, tell him what you would like to win and we'll pick one lucky winner to win the prize of their choice

Thanks for hopping

Chloe with Ice Cream

Good morning all. I hope everyone has some crafty plans this weekend. I know I’m going to squeeze in some colouring :-)

It’s time for a new challenge at A Gem of a Challenge and this time Shirley has picked a fabulous theme of:

Gingham Paper/Ribbon or Both

Chloe is probably my all time favourite Digi character, so for my card I used Chloe with Ice Cream

I was being a bit of numpty when I made this and nearly missed the challenge criteria! Not becuase I forgot about it but in my head I was thinking gingham is the same as checks when I know it’s not. So having alreeady used checked paper, I managed, luckily, to dig out some gingham ribbon.

Supplies:

  • Image: Chloe with ice Cream from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: ProMarkers
  • DP: Magazine Freebie – Lili of the Valley Bonnets & Bowties
  • Card: Pink Card, Green card and Neenah Solar White Card
  • Stamps: Pink Gem Sentiment
  • Ink: Adirondack ‘Eggplant’ ink pad and Distress Ink ‘Weathered Wood’
  • Dies & Punches: Go Kreate Circle Dies, Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Calabria Die, JoyCrafts 5 Petal Flower Dies, Memory Box Lorelei Outline Die and Fiskars Heart Corcner Punch,
  • Embellishments: Gingham ribbon/seam binding, flat backed pearls and flat backed gems

All Things Sporty

Morning All. Up with the  Larks this morning….someone forgot to tell my children it’s the weekend!! I should have posted yesterday but I spent all day pottering about in the garden and making the most of the weather. I even had my first harvest…one radish and a load of new potatoes :-)

Anyhoo, a new challenge started yesterday at Jellypark and this time our theme is …

All Things Sporty

I have used Footballer to make my Dad a Fathers Day Card.  He’s a Newcastle United fan so I have coloured image to match. Here is my card…

I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I really like this card. Something isn’t quite right but I’m not sure what exactly….never mind my Dad will love it.

Tic-Tac-Toe

Hello All. It’s time for June’s challenge over at Whimsy Stamps and this month our theme is:

Tic-Tac-Toe

Summer

Lace

Pearls

Pink - Green

Die Cut

Birthday

Ribbon

Sentiment

Here is my card using just one of the sweet images from Moon Cookie Gallery’s Just Peachy  set and I used the line Ribbon-Flowers-Sentiment, but it also fits the diagonal line Summer-Die Cut-Sentiment:

MCG Just Peachy (2)

A little bit different for me. I printed the image quite large and with grey lines, so I could colour with the no lines technique.

  • DP: MME ‘Wild Asparagus’ 8x8 paper pad

  • Card: Neenah Solar White Card and grey ad lime card from my stash
