Less is More - Week 16....take 3
Been out and done the weekly shop and I think the glossy accents has now dried, lol. I actually have three more cards to share. The first is embossed in silver and coloured with a purple Copic Spica pen, the second is embossed in gold and coloured with yellow and orange Copic Spica Pens and shaded with grey ProMarkers, and lastly I'd already started to make a jewel coloured glittered butterfly that I couldn't waste as it's so sparkly, so I have just cobbled it together with a kraft card blank. You may now have an idea that I have a bit of a butterfly addiction and I sure have liked this weeks challenge. Eight cards in total across three posts has to be a bit of a record...well for me anyway. Here (I promise) are my last entries for this week.
Will update later with supplies.
Right no more posts from me today...I promise.
Less is More - Week 16....take 2
I said in yesterday's post that I had been really really inspired by this weeks challenge at LIM Headquarters and now you'll see what I mean. Here's another three...yes I did say three cards...lol. The scary thing is I have another 2 half made, one's waiting for the glossy accents to dry and I had to stop making the other one as Elliot woke up from his afternoon nap and when he's awake he likes to help!
Are you ready....
Item's: Card from Paper Mill, MS Scoreboard, Fiskars Border Punch, Stickles Glitter Glue in Stardust and Eucalyptus, Sentiment Peel-offs from Little Claire, Black Vinyl Butterfly stickers and Silver Butterfly from Papermania, Ribbon from stash, Ranger perfect pearls, Puffy Butterflies from stash and Pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Finally I thought I would give you all a giggle. Elliot managed to climb up onto the sofa for the first time this week and while he was there thought he'd update my blog for me.....
If the glossy accent dries I may pop back later with the other two card.
See you soon xxx

Less is More - Week 16
Butterflies....hurrah. I'm a happy LIMette this week, I love flutterbys, they always get my creativity flowing. I've had so many ideas I had to jot them down in a little sketch book so I didn't forget them. I'm not going to get time to make all my ideas (not for this challenge anyway), but I may try and make a couple more when Elliot has his nap tomorrow. Here are my first couple...
Items: White linen A6 card blank, Cream 5x5 square card blank, sentiment stamps free with craft magazine, black patterned butterfly paper from Inkspots Art and Craft, black ribbon from Hobbycraft, circle punch, butterfly stickers from Paperchase, kraft card from Pink Petticoat and brilliance inkpad

Less is More - Week 15
Over at LIM towers this week it's the dreaded one layer card..lol. Also it has to include some embossing (dry or wet). Well after last weeks WoW I needed some colour so I've gone with a very hot pink and used one of my favourite stamps of all time, a cupcake, part of a fantastic set from Hero Arts. I stamped and embossed the cupcake and sentiment with dark purple embossing powder, coloured it lightly with shimmery watercolour paint, masked it and then stamped and embossed the dotty background stamp in clear sparkle embossing powder. It looks like there's a smudge in the bottom right corner but it's not honest...it's a shadow on the picture and isn't there IRL.
Item's: Hot Pink card from stash, Sentiment and Cupcake stamp from Hero Arts set, Dotty background stamp from Dimension Forth, Versacolor inkpad, Perfect Medium inkpad, clear sparkle embossing powder, dark purple embossing powder and watercolour paint.

MAWTT - 2B's & Brenda's Candy
This week Brenda at MAWTT has set the challenge that your entry must include at least two B's and if you're also a follower of Brenda's blog you'll know she is also having a belated birthday candy if you can show 3 B's you'll been in with a chance or if you can show 6 or more there is an extra prize!
I knew straight away I wanted to use this Little Claire Stamp Beach Hut set that I have had in my stash for a while but haven't made anything with. I'm also very fond of step cards and making a scene at moment, so here goes. I think I have used 8 B's...Boat, Beach, Beach Huts, Bird, Bucket and Spade, Blue Sea/Sky, Beige Sand and Beach Sign.
Item's: Kraft Paper and Littlest White Dot Papers all from Pink Petticoat, Little Claire Beach Hut Stamp Set, White Gel Pen, Round punches (for the sun) and Coloured pencils for shading.

Less is More - Week 14
I'm still grinning and yes I was right I do have face ache (see last post....I won the Pink Petticoat Celebrate Spring Competition). Anyhoo I'm back with my entries for this weeks challenge at LIM. This week it's white on white and I have to admit I found it much harder than I thought I would, although I think it was more to do with my idea getting stuck somewhere between my head and my hands than the WoW challenge. The first card I had an idea set in my mind but I just couldn't get it to come out on the card as I'd imagined...it's woven ribbon layered up with a sentiment. However, the second card just flowed and I'm thrilled with it...it's so me. I've made the two layers using my scoreboard to emboss diagonal lines and some criss cross lines, inked and embossed the edges, stamped and glittered a butterfly and added a sentiment.
Items: White 6x6 card blank, white card, white satin ribbon 1cm and 2cm widths, Papermania white fibre paper, MS Scoreboard, Stickles Stardust, Sentiment from Pink Gem, VersaFine Onyx Black inkpad and white gel pen.
Items: White DL card blank, white card, MS Scoreboard, VersaMark Clear Ink Pen, Clear Sparkle Embossing Powder, sentiment from Pink Gem, white gel pen, Memento London Fog inkpad, Hero Art Butterfly Cling Stamps, various shades of white glitter (one looks pink in photo but it really isn't), Stickles Frosted Ice and some little flower stamens (for the antennae).

Yippee...hurrah...OMG....
I'm so excited I can barely sit still to type this...I won the Celebrate Spring Competition at Pink Petticoat. This is the picture as it appears on the Pink Petticoat Blog
See the Pink Petticoat Blog for more pictures. Liz's pictures are so much better than mine...maybe I should ask for some photography tips to go with the prize! Woohoo £50 (my Mum's already said she bets I'll spend it on more stash!) but more than the prize I love Pink Petticoat so I really am chuffed to have won this competition.
Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I will be back later with my entry in this weeks LIM challenge (probably will have face ache from all the grinning though!).

Critter Sketch Challenge #64
Oh it's Monday again already...where did the weekend go? I didn't get any crafting done this weekend but I have almost finished sorting out my crafting room/hubbies study, maybe one day I'll do a post with some pictures, but I need to finish sorting and storing my stamps first. Anyhoo I'm here to share my card for my first challenge as part of the DT over at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog. Please pop on over and take a look at the cards made by the other DT members. This weeks challenge is a colour combo...yellow and green, not something I usually go for but that's why it's a challenge!
