Love is in the air
....because I've made a Valentine's card. I would like to enter it into All That Scraps Challenge which is 'Early Valentines. I've used the adorable CC Designs Rubber Stamp 'Bumble Bee Hansel' and a sentiment 'Just bee...cos' from a Little Claire Stamp set to create a Valentine's card that steers clear of the traditional red. I would also like to enter this into A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge which this week is Valentine's creations, Simon Says Stamp which is Bingo (Ribbon, Glitter, Gems, but I think I've used other combinations as well lol) and Bunny Zoes which is Love is in the air.

Teal and Brown
Over at the Allsorts Challenge Blog the theme for this weeks challenge is Teal and Brown, a colour combo I love (I used it when I decorated my lounge) and have used it on cards many many times. The timing was perfect for me for this challenge as I needed to make my future Brother-in Law a birthday card. Here is my card:
Items: Patterned papers from DCWV card stack, teal and brown card from stash, A6 pearlescent card blank, flowers from stash coloured with ProMarkers, Boy Stamp was free with this months Simply Cards and Papercraft, Ribbon and brads from stash, cinnamon stickles and Umber and Petrol Blue ProMarkers.

Me again
It wasn't actually a New Years Resolution but I really wanted to craft more and in turn blog more this year and so far I think I'm managing both. It's great because after a hectic day chasing after my 11th month I find crafting so relaxing, something my husband doesn't quite believe when he hears expletives coming from my corner of our study when I've done something silly like smudge ink or get glue gel in the wrong place! Little does he know trying to cover up these 'Happy Little Accidents' are like mini challanges...lol.
Today I'm sharing my Sister's birthday card with you. Now I always put my all into a card but I do so even more for my sister Tracy as she is also a card makerand I like to make that extra effort. I'm entering the card into a few challenges as well. Firstly Flutterby Wednesday where I have followed the sketch (I must praise Carly the sketch really got the creative juices flowing and I think I will use it again it the future) and used my lovely new Hero Arts Butterfly Cling Stamps. Secondly The Stamp Man Challenge is distress, my take on this is the scratched up mirror board used for matting and layering and the inking I have done round the edge of some plain white card stock. And thirdly Pollycraft Challenge where the challenge was soft pastels.

New Little Claire Challenge Blog
Little Claire will be starting up a monthly challenge blog on the 5th February and to celebrate they are giving away some fabulous candy. I am already such a huge fan of Little Claire as the quality of their stamps gives such a great stamped impression. In fact belonging to their club means I already own two of the stamp sets in the candy but if I was lucky enough to win I could pass them onto my sister who is also a card maker and scrap booker. I'll also take this opportunity to share with you a card I made using their November Club Stamp "A Little Bird told Me"
Items: Little Claire Stamp Set "A Little Bird Told Me", Paper Cellar Cream Raffia Lace, ProMarkers, Cream card from my stash, Raffia and Memento black inkpad.
PS: I need a rest now...that's two posts in one day.

Happy New Year...
...yes I know I'm a little late but it's taken me a while to get back into routine since the Christmas festivities and visiting family and friends.
This will just be a quick post tonight but I wanted to share a few of my Christmas cards I made and I'm patting myself on the back because despite having to chase around after my nearly walking little boy I managed to make all my cards (all 48 of them!!).
Hubby said it was cruel to dress Elliot up but I think you'll agree he sure does make my cards look cute.
I came up with a fab way to make the snowflakes look extra pretty, I made my own sparkly textured paper by mixing Aqua Glass paints, PVA glue, tissues and glitter and then punching the out with a lovely Martha Stewart punch and adding a gem or a pearl in the middle. The effect is real pretty.
